Based on your suggestions, I have made a few changes to the floor plan again. Some rooms were reduced in size, creating new storage space; windows were removed or replaced, and I created a separate recess for a wardrobe.
In the first revision, I had reduced the bathroom upstairs in favor of a second utility room. However, after consulting with my parents, I reversed this. Their statement was that if something happens with the washing machine or its hose, the mess would be much bigger if the machine is located on the upper floor.
Furthermore, I still managed to give the "box" a roof for a better appearance.

Thank you for your feedback

Brief note about the garage: You will never comfortably fit two cars along with bicycles in there - I was fooled by the drawings for a long time as well .

I agree with Lexmaul79 regarding the garage. Quick calculation: a car today (including mirrors) is almost 2.10 m wide (cf. signage on the highway in the construction zone). You also need some space to get out. Let’s cautiously assume 3 m of space per car, which makes 6 m width including space on the right and left and in between. The garage has an external dimension of 8 m minus 6 m for the cars and minus wall thickness (at least 50 cm), leaving 1.5 m. Now you can still count the space next to the cars, so you might have about 1 m on each side for bicycles, etc. But the drawing suggests at least 1.6 m, and just the way the cars are drawn, you cannot get out of one of them. Parking a car backwards might still work, then you can squeeze together a bit closer, since you only need to get out on the driver’s side.
And bicycles are not the only things in the garage: lawnmower, wheelbarrow, 3-4 garbage bins, etc. are usually added as well.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s just about not creating the illusion of a ballroom. But hardly anyone has more than 8 m either, it’s just tighter than the drawing suggests, that is the point here. It’s often the same with drawn-in furniture.

With a width of 8m, a few bicycles should already fit inside. However, there probably won’t be as much space left as shown in the picture. Our garage is only 5.40m due to the property size. That just works because it is a steel garage. With 8m minus 2x0.24m of masonry walls deducted. Standard internal dimension for a precast concrete garage 2x2.8m, there are still about 1.9m left. If you want to park the cars comfortably, maybe only 1.50m of space remains.

Regarding the floor plan itself, I am not sure if it really has improved. The extremely large bathroom has remained that way. The situation in the living room, dining area, and kitchen has not really eased. Normally, to my knowledge, about 4m wall distance is needed for couch - wall unit. That’s probably only around 3.60m in your case. The couch is rather small at 2.50m. At 90cm depth, that is only 1.40m of seating area. An armchair is surely not only 0.69m deep.

For the bathroom, also consider what you will put in front of the 3 windows to keep the bathroom bright but still not be observed by the neighbors.

Hi,

as a layperson, I find the floor plan quite nice! All in all, it’s a well-rounded thing. However, I see the garage in the same way. It could get pretty tight unless you drive 2 Smarts.

What I don't like so much has already been mentioned. The kitchen furniture doesn’t look great and the big bathroom upstairs doesn’t seem particularly cozy.

Hello,
I also noticed a few things when looking at your plan:
Regarding the ground floor:
I would either omit the recess in the wall to the utility room or make it deep enough so that you can really have a good coat closet.
The storage room looks very narrow. Does a shelf fit in there without you having to squeeze through?
The path to the shower in the guest bathroom is also very cramped past the toilet.
I would rather plan a "broom closet" in the office or enlarge the utility room a bit and leave out the storage room. This also saves you a sliding door on the wall.
The kitchen looks to me like a fitted kitchen in just any rental apartment. It doesn’t always have to be a xx-thousand-euro fancy kitchen island, but for a family, it looks a bit shabby.
I would also rather build the garage 7x7 or 6x8 m in length. I believe you get more usable parking space without always having to watch where the wheels are when opening the car door.
Regarding the upper floor:
The bathroom is huge without really gaining much benefit from it. It could be at least 4 m² smaller.
I somehow don’t like the arrangement of the children's rooms and the storage room. I think it doesn’t look good if the doors are right next to each other. Maybe you can find a way to use the square meters that the bathroom is too large for the storage room and then arrange two children’s rooms in the lower part of the plan.
