Also have the floor. Compared to parquet, it is super sensitive and the walking feel is not good, it is simply cheap plastic that you walk on. Personally, I would not put something like that in my house anymore, not even in the basement.

I would also be interested in long-term experiences regarding durability. My girlfriend has a Parador Modular One with three children and it has already had unpleasant encounters with dropped Siku cars (dents, scratches). The wear is also visible in the terrace-living room access.

These are also my experiences, the coating comes off relatively easily and it also develops holes.

Hello, does anyone have experience with the Modular One that was glued down?

In our new build, we had this installed throughout our entire attic (bedroom). The specialist company had planned to glue the floor so that the underfloor heating can work optimally. For this, they obtained approval from Parador. After the installation, we noticed that on most of the panels at the edges (especially the "short" sides) unsightly compressions and elevations are visible (as if someone had hammered properly with the drive wedge). The specialist company argued that the screed still contains a lot of moisture and is therefore moving and building up pressure in some places. However, this would settle again and the raised edges would flatten back if we ventilate well. They said to wait. I don’t believe that.... To be honest, overall, with these edges it looks like a standard laminate floor was installed and not a design floor in the higher price range. Attached are a few pictures of the floor. Question: how do your edges look or how should they ideally look? Do you have photos of them? What experiences have you had with the edges during installation? Who has experience with gluing?

In itself, I find the floor very nice visually and to the touch. (Modular One Oak pure natural country plank) I would have liked the look to be a bit calmer, but on the short showroom surfaces you can never really see that well. How the floor can be cleaned, whether it scratches easily and is actually as durable as the sellers promise, I can’t assess yet because we do not live in the house yet.

Hello "HelloCo".
Congratulations that you, like many before and surely also after you, were able to dive into the world of half-truths.
If, as the "specialist company" apparently noted, the screed still contained a lot of moisture and is therefore moving, that can only cause shaking of the head. The installation company has the duty, among other things, to check the residual moisture in the screed as part of its inspection and duty of care before installing.
If they did not do this, they violated their duty of care and are liable for all damages directly related to this as well as consequential damages (e.g. compensation).
If it were really as claimed, the PVC planks would have detached more or less (e.g. in bubble form) from the subfloor.
You can check this yourself by running your fingernails over the plank surface.
If you do not hear any noticeable "chirping tones," the covering is still firmly fixed. Excessive residual moisture? To be excluded.
Especially since the carrier material is moisture-resistant so that it does not swell when moisture enters.
Now check the end joints with the same fingernail principle.
If you hear no chirping tone, the end joints are also firmly fixed.
Excessive residual moisture: also to be denied.
What has almost certainly happened here is that the delivery (planks) was stored in a cold car or warehouse before being carried into your house.
Without sufficient climate conditioning (at least 24 hours in the rooms where the covering is to be installed at the same temperature), the covering is subject to natural length expansion when it moves from a cold room into a warm one.
And if this expansion behavior is not waited for before installation with an 8mm thick system structure, well, then it simply expands after it has already been glued down.
And then there are such dimples. Or if the total area of 20 m², which the manufacturer has approved for full-surface bonding, is significantly exceeded.
"It will settle again, just ventilate well!"
Complete nonsense, this only serves to calm the builder in the hope they will get used to the appearance in the next few weeks.
A dimpled PVC covering as a module structure, as visible in the photos, remains as it is! No matter how well and how often you may ventilate.
Unfortunately.

To those who have installed the Modular One as a floating floor: Did you lay a normal vapor barrier (foil) underneath or a Parador Akustik Protect impact sound insulation? I know that the Modular One has a cork layer as impact sound insulation. However, I once read somewhere that it is better to put an additional impact sound insulation underneath.
