Upper floor without screed - only concrete floor

I would guess that there is some kind of hard impact sound insulation and the floor covering on top of it - pipes then underneath this in bound fill or something (?). Heating could be, for example, wall heating or air-to-air heat pump.

Hi,

the houses do not have underfloor heating and the electrical wiring and co. are embedded in the concrete. This seems to be becoming more common to save costs during construction. Although I cannot imagine that the screed is particularly expensive. The concrete is also made in such a way that it is level enough to lay impact sound insulation and other flooring on top.

Are the water pipes embedded in the concrete?

Well, they probably go into installation shafts and boxes...

However, I wouldn't build without screed...

But it used to be the same... many old buildings also have no screed...

Regarding the electrical cables: I have (almost) no cables lying on the floor upstairs - and I haven’t milled any grooves across for that.

and then where are the cables? you probably have wireless electricity or something^^
