Does anyone have experience with floating installation?
In our case, the floor is partially not 100% resting on the screed, and you can hear it when walking!
Does this settle again or does it remain (we moved in 2 months ago)?

Info on the installation:
The screed is level (cups were ground down, or there were hardly any)
The floor is level (with a 3m straight edge max. 2-3mm height differences which corresponds to the standard) according to the instructions 3mm per 1m is allowed
Floor: Parador Modular One Schlossdiele
Construction: screed - PE foil - Parador Modular One
All edge spacings were maintained.
Residual moisture measurement was fine!

We are currently very disappointed, although it is very aesthetic and has a very nice feel.

Does anyone have similar experiences, or does it get better over time?

Thanks in advance for the info

Your situation will not change anymore. You may not have informed yourself well enough or were given wrong advice. The most important thing in floor construction is impact sound insulation. I know that theoretically there is some included in this floor in the form of cork. You have noticed yourself that this is not sufficient. A significantly better construction would have been an impact sound insulation instead of the PE foil. We installed the thickest version: Parador Akustik Protect 300, so nothing "wobbles." But even we notice on the sides and partly at transitions that the floor does not sit completely cleanly. There was sloppiness when laying the roll. Solution for you: remove the floor again and put impact sound insulation underneath instead of PE foil. Bitter, but the only solution.

Hello,
Thank you for the quick response. I had almost expected such an answer.

Somehow, it is still very annoying that in 3 out of 3 installation videos, a 0.2mm PE foil is used (also in the Parador video). According to the installation instructions, this is the standard recommendation; the Acoustic Protect is optional.

It’s a pity, I will probably have to take everything out again.

However, this thread is also for other users.

Zusammengefasst entweder mit Akustikprotect verlegen oder bei Räume <16m2 auch Verkleben möglich (lt. Parador Telefon Auskunft)

Hello everyone,

we have now also installed our Parador in the apartment and encountered the same problem. Despite the cork impact sound insulation, you can sometimes hear a knocking because the floor does not lie 100% flat.

: Has your problem been solved by using impact sound insulation? If yes, which one did you use? What kind of noises did you have?

Visually, the floor is really very nice. Now we still have to get the problem under control...

Best regards and happy Easter.

PS: I will show pictures when everything is finished

Hello Steffen,

I have unfortunately not done anything so far. But if I take the floor up again, I will most likely glue it immediately.

The knocking settles down a bit over time, but unfortunately you can still hear it!

Best regards, Wolfgang

We will lay approximately 120 sqm of Oak Pure Natural in the new building in two weeks.

How did you handle the transition and finishing profiles? More the simple adhesive variant or the screwed one in the screed?

And did you transfer the screed expansion joints in the floor in each room with the help of a profile or not?

Thanks for your feedback.
