And what is this Bio Vinyl supposed to be? Why does it get a Bio? Or was it rather a Vegan Vinyl? ;)

I am just imagining Mandy and Chantal from page 1 being seen everywhere in the living room :/ We don't have underfloor cooling yet; I had postponed it as a potential retrofit so we wouldn't use up the budget before the sample selections. That was probably a pretty good decision. I also find real wood generally nice, but the floor stands out price-wise from the rest of the standard. The building materials dealer's price seems okay; it's marked at just over €100, and there seems to be a promotion that requires a proper offer. The cheapest internet price was €97, most were higher.

Because it is made not from petroleum but from vegetable oil. It also contains no PVC and no phthalates.

No problem at all and it works just as well or badly in reverse.
We have parquet and underfloor cooling everywhere, and we are satisfied with both. Just last week, after the cooling was switched off at the end of August, there were again 1-2 warmer days and my wife felt hot. She complained that she noticeably missed the underfloor cooling :)
I disagreed with her that it wasn’t too warm and that more rainy days and cooling would follow in the next few days. If I were to turn on the cooling, it would anyway take about 24 hours before you’d notice anything....

Long story short, I switched it on and was surprised to feel noticeable coolness in the floor everywhere already two hours later. Faster and more clearly, of course, in the tiled rooms (bathrooms, utility room), but the cooling was also noticeable in all the other parquet rooms and the next morning it was at the desired "setpoint".

Our parquet installer considers underfloor cooling basically okay, but it shouldn't be run for longer than two to three weeks and a moisture and temperature sensor should be installed. For similar reasons as described here (child and dog), we decided on natural stone-look tiles on the ground floor. We didn't want wood-look because of the "wrong" tactile feel. In hindsight, from our point of view, it would have been best if we had followed the architect's suggestion to have the screed ground and sealed. But you don't save money doing that!
