Solid wood floors, also known as parquet, practically last forever (> 100 years if you really try) and in my opinion are not maintenance-intensive in private residential areas.
We also thought a lot about it, but always come back to the following conclusion. Parquet is more expensive, at the same time more maintenance-intensive, less durable, and wears out faster.
Parquet was also included as standard for us. We had it replaced with vinyl for similar reasons. It didn't become significantly cheaper, though. At €50, it was only €10 cheaper than the included parquet. Visually, I personally like the vinyl much better than the rather plain-looking parquet options to me. Costs did not play a role in the decision.
Just quickly turned on Google:

- Parquet handles moisture far less well than vinyl => so-called mist-wiping
- Microfiber cloths damage parquet
- If food or drinks are spilled, rinse IMMEDIATELY
- All-purpose cleaner leaves a mattifying residue
- Wiping too dry just presses the dirt into the joints/pores
- Oil once a year (so completely empty everything, oil, let it absorb, put everything back => Can sometimes take more than a day)
We have bamboo parquet flooring in our all-round room. It is glued down (I believe from memory) at under €30/sqm, and it is harder than oak, since bamboo is not wood but a grass, and therefore it can withstand quite a lot in terms of durability, even though it looks finer in structure. It comes in several color shades, and structurally also in two/three options to buy.
Just quickly fired up Google: (oiled parquet floor)
You can also make life difficult for yourself ... The mentioned points of criticism can be avoided without effort, without cost. It is even easier to simply leave out the nonsense that is supposed to be so harmful.
