So you don’t have a description in the offer that states which baseboards are to be fixed and adapted how? You have no specifications that expansion joints have to be executed in material xy?
You only have a slip that says: laying xy sqm of flooring for x euros?
Sorry, if you insist so much that it should look nice, i.e. how you imagine nice, then you have to define the parameters beforehand.
You can check whether the thickness and position of the expansion joints correspond to the recommendations and DIN standards for the materials used. Statements like "the site manager says it’s okay" and "but the neighbor with the vinyl floor has it this way" don’t help you at all.

Yes, unfortunately, because we discussed everything else verbally. You can also ask beforehand if you forgot something or if something doesn’t fit. You shouldn’t just do it. One expects something different from a master craftsman company. At least for the price. The work will be examined by a building expert; let’s see what comes of it.

I have asked the parquet layer in writing to rectify the things that annoy me extremely. He responded promptly.

He will try to cut the normal baseboards narrower so that they fit into the window recess.

He will straighten the cork joints, which means they will have to be made even larger. He claims the joints are absolutely necessary. Without me! I will insist that he replaces and cuts the planks properly. If he refuses, he has two options: reduce the invoice or I will go to another master company and charge him for this service.

If your writing style is reflected in your dealings with craftsmen, you will probably end up on their "blacklist" and have to do it yourself or pay much higher compensation. My opinion.

You are welcome to charge him for that, but he may also ignore the invoice. There are appropriate rules for defect detection and rectification. Before you get stuck, I would first seek advice in this regard. What does the building surveyor say? Is he an expert?
