My problem is that I want it to look nice? There is nothing about that in the order. I was not informed about the joints and the baseboards before the installation. I was not informed that it doesn’t fit at the windows. It was just done. It is 100 sqm. Go to Parkett Dietrich or something, then you’ll see how they laid the parquet continuously. It is a new building and not an old house!
So you don’t have a description in the offer that states which baseboards are to be fixed and adapted how? You have no specifications that expansion joints have to be executed in material xy?
You only have a slip that says: laying xy sqm of flooring for x euros?
Sorry, if you insist so much that it should look nice, i.e. how you imagine nice, then you have to define the parameters beforehand.
You can check whether the thickness and position of the expansion joints correspond to the recommendations and DIN standards for the materials used. Statements like "the site manager says it’s okay" and "but the neighbor with the vinyl floor has it this way" don’t help you at all.
