But... to get back to the question. Please set the damage amount at 2,000 EUR, plus an outrageous amount for the few cork joints... sue... and in the end pay around 5-6,000 EUR after a few years... Lawyers, courts, etc. also need to be paid. Families also live off that, so go ahead and sue.

My bathroom is just being finished. All in all, good work from craftsmen with a certain professional pride. They don’t deliver anything below average because the customer can’t do better either. My small corrections were carried out without complications. The craftsmen themselves stood at the end, looked and said: “Yeah, it turned out well.“

You can’t honestly say that about the result with the joints, quite frankly.

My experience is, for professions without master craftsman requirement: a wooden eye must be watchful! So floor layers and landscape gardeners as well as for all trades, when you hire the well-known janitorial service.

First, but not in the craft trades. And it is simply the case that with a job where you have to make corrections, you sometimes end up losing money. Then you put in more effort next time so that the mistake doesn’t happen again and in the end the books balance again.
I’m glad that the OP is acting this way now. Regardless of the outcome, the risk for all future clients is lower that nonsense will be delivered again. Good luck.

Your comments are not only disrespectful, they are also pathetic. I really hope, never, but really never, that you have anything to do with direct customers. From your comments one can see your social competence and work ethic. Apparently, you are ultra-rich, so that 25,000 € is little money for you. These are oversized premises (100 sqm) and the poor craftsman has to make do with the starvation wage. The complete overall appearance was massively disturbed by the sloppy execution of the cork joints. Of course, I repaired the cork joints of the parquet layer myself and it looks 1000 times better now. That's not the point. You can't make a mess and not feel responsible for it and not stand by it.

One can only smile again each time about the apparently freehand jigsaw-cut floorboards in "Bild3". Don't they have a miter saw with them? Strange.
