Yes.. you are certainly right.. But here I would save myself the stress with a lawyer, expert, sleepless nights, etc. I would pick up the paint roller and do it myself.. It doesn't look that complicated.

I would do that myself too. In case of doubt, the painter can do it. Then charge the parquet layer for the additional work on the invoice. (Von der Rechnung einbehalten)

Who chose the thrust kick or what does your contract say? The flooring installer certainly didn't make that up himself. In any case, I don't consider it categorically impossible that there are some that absolutely must be painted after installation because they only serve as a primed substrate.

That construction managers and developers gossip about it... well, that's part of it. Everyone gossips about the other so that the next building owner orders everything directly from the developer at a high price. As in "Yes Mr. Müller-Meier-Wohlfahrt, that wouldn't have happened to you with us..."

That’s not part of it. We, the 3 parties, built with this developer. Everything is excellent with all 3 houses. They built the houses perfectly, stone by stone, within 12 months; 3 different building inspectors assessed the work very well. No delays, no drama, no material shortages. If I had done it with the developer, I wouldn’t have any stress now. But now it’s over. The contract says nothing about it. The flooring installer had only an option in white. He never once mentioned that threshold strips would be painted. These are prefabricated components. Who paints something like that? I will pursue this up to legal proceedings and expose all the botched work in this project.

And what exactly do you want to sue for if nothing about that is stated in the contract?

Either you haven't read the course of the discussion or you are also one of those craftsmen who work carelessly and without a sense of aesthetics. There are very, very many of them. Otherwise, your comments cannot be explained.
