The lawn mowing robot is on – which one do you use and what do you say about it?

I have about 400m² on three sides of the house. Actually, all pretty straight surfaces or large obstacles. I have installed 16cm mowing edges everywhere. But I can't imagine that the chaotic principle mows everywhere. I'm still undecided whether to just test it or wait another 2-3 years -> a lot will definitely change by then...

@rick: You recommended the 450X, the 315X should be roughly the same technically, just smaller. I think that would be the right one for me. Or rather the 430X?

Ok, when I read it like this, a robotic lawn mower is simply too complicated to install for us and also difficult to use. I usually have mowing edges at the beds, none at the walls, and none at some beds either. Not around the flowering meadows either, nor around some roses and raspberries, etc. Also not around the hydrangeas and blackberries and not around most bushes etc. And I can't and don't want to spend that much money. Especially when you consider that in summer we hardly have to mow sometimes because nothing grows anyway due to 3 years of drought in a row...

Just for a sketch, I would need a while because we have everything everywhere. Roses, hydrangeas, perennial beds, vegetable beds, fruit trees, flowering meadows, raised beds, flower beds... then the outbuildings and the pavilion, etc... it is a rather wild, natural garden. For example, I also have 3 m2 of clover, which I leave standing for the insects until after it blooms.

I think then I'll switch back to a battery mower. And in a few years the kids can do it

The 450x tip was overkill.
Your green area sounds like 's.
So nothing complicated. And yes, everything gets chaotic, really everything gets caught.
We have the 315x on the garage roof. This model is a bit louder and initially had problems with the motors that got louder over time. No problem anymore now.
One search cable is enough for you.
The 315x also has GPS.
You don't have to wait. The technology works absolutely reliably.
The 315x should run about 1/4 to 1/2 day (7 days a week). If that doesn't work, you have to scale up (430x).
The edge strip is between 12-15cm depending on the angle. So your mowing edges are wide enough.

freestanding bushes are simply enclosed with the boundary wire. It’s not really complicated. But I think a robotic mower doesn’t really fit into your garden concept. Buy yourself a good cordless mower (e.g. from Stihl).

I’ll bring up this topic again. Our Luna has now been doing her mandatory community service for several months and is really doing well. She doesn’t complain, doesn’t babble, is reliable, and so on and so forth.

“The device never gets tired”
(Who knows this…)

But since the good girl stands for quite a long time “resting” in the burning sun, I thought, a garage is needed. I find the Gardena roof outrageously expensive and somehow not nice either. So I turned to the big river and ordered another one, which I’m currently painting and will assemble soon. Photos to follow.

In this context, I thought I’d ask the crowd how you do it and what you have used and why!?
Or is that even overrated and you do without it completely?
