The lawn mowing robot is on – which one do you use and what do you say about it?

It’s not time yet but next year it could become interesting. We have an L-shaped lawn (i.e. a 6-meter-wide strip to the left of the house and then a thick strip extending out to the terrace), slight slope, about 700 sqm, 2 apple trees, 1 plum tree, orchard meadow (i.e. dandelions etc.), the slight slope is partially retained by a retaining wall, meaning the robot would have to drive past the wall. Does anyone have a suggestion?

Ok, reading it like this, a robotic lawn mower is simply too complicated to install and also difficult to use for us. I mostly have mowing edges at the beds, none at the walls, at some beds also none. Also not around the wildflower meadows, nor around some roses and raspberries, etc. Also not around the hydrangeas and blackberries and not around most bushes, and so on and so forth. And I can't and don't want to spend that much money. Especially considering that in summer at times we hardly need to mow because nothing grows anyway due to three years of drought in a row...

Just for a sketch, I would need a while because we have everything everywhere. Roses, hydrangeas, perennial beds, vegetable beds, fruit trees, wildflower meadows, raised bed, flower beds... then the outbuildings and the pavilion, etc... it's rather a wild, natural garden. For example, I also have 3 m2 of clover, which I leave standing for the insects until after flowering.

I think then I'll switch back to battery mowers. And in a few years the kids can do it :cool:
