There is basically nothing against that. You can test like that. The alternative is to lay the cable on the lawn with the ground hooks. After some time, they are completely invisible.
Addendum, what I actually want to say is that I would first lay it above ground and let the robot run. Only when I see that everything is being mowed well would I lay it underground.
For that, a simple lawn edger is actually enough. So first lay it above ground, see how it goes, and then cut for underground installation. After that, no one can see it.
