The lawn mowing robot is on – which one do you use and what do you say about it?

We are also considering getting one. Size about 450-500sqm

Is one enough for 750sqm or is it better to go straight to 1000sqm?

...and do you need, for example, the Smart Gateway with Gardena or does it work without it?

I would recommend at least double, if not triple, the capacity of the actual lawn area. This reduces travel times. We have about 300 sqm and the 1000 model, so it runs 5 days a week from 8:30 to 15:30 according to a Gardena-led schedule. If it were smaller, the travel times would be significantly longer because it would need to be charged more often.

The Gateway is quite practical. You can adjust the most important settings from the garden table, practically from anywhere, and don’t have to walk to the mower. Quite simple, for example, if you want to send it home due to sudden heavy rain. The schedules/zones can be created very easily through it, and things like weather or [sunrise] and [sunset] can be taken into account. Also practical is that you receive notifications if something is not working properly. For example, if the mower gets stuck somewhere, a cable is damaged, or the mower can’t find its station. I’m glad we have it, but it’s certainly not a must.

Well, that sounds good. Then we’ll take a look around. Thank you very much.

Can anyone also by chance explain to me how it works with a trampoline, for example, with Gardena??? I can still imagine a tree and a flowerbed. Trampoline completely excluded and mowed by hand or individually surround each of the supports with the wire?

Without leaving gaps, about 10 cm remain around the supports. You'll have to use the trimmer there. Here it moves into collision. It mows under the trampoline. If there is no more grass under the trampoline anyway, you can also completely exclude it with a loop.

I bought the Ferrex (landxscape) from Aldi, it covers about 750 m2 for us. At a price of 349.00 euros unbeatable.

A trampoline, if it is used frequently anyway, can be excellently installed flush with the ground. That's what my brother did and apart from more work at the beginning, it has only advantages. Even a robotic mower has no problem with it.
