I'll join in here. Honestly, I don't want a smart home. Especially because I don't feel like dealing with it and have managed to turn on the light with the switch when entering a room for the past 46 years. I can definitely understand the fascination, but I see it more as a hobby – one I neither have time nor interest in. BUT: we are planning quite large windows on the south side, which in summer makes shading with blinds necessary, as otherwise the house will probably heat up a lot (KFW55 with controlled residential ventilation). Therefore, I am looking for a SIMPLE way to automate the shading for these windows – so if the sun is shining on them -> blinds go down. I saw at Bosch that this is possible via room temperature. In your opinion, is this a sensible approach or just a workaround, and are there simply easier/more reliable/cheaper solutions? If you need more information, please let me know briefly. Thanks in advance for your support!
