I took a look at your cost breakdown. For me, it is now understandable where your prices for KNX come from. The electrician from Heinz von Heiden (Heinz von Heiden?!) charges a hefty 91 euros gross for a Hue Bridge or almost 100 euros gross per meter of Hue Light Strips. With such a margin, it's no wonder that the KNX offers are extremely expensive. This pretty much hits the nail on the head, as said:

It should be clear to everyone that you can't get mydealz bargain prices from the internet at the local electrician company. And no, sorry. The offers from the local electricians from MyHammer were sometimes even significantly more expensive. It's less about the prices here and more about the general availability of getting an electrician at all into the house. They are permanently fully booked here.

You first have to find an electrician who properly understands KNX! Unfortunately, I have experienced that about 50% of electricians have almost no idea, yet advertise themselves with KNX installations. If the client has no knowledge of the subject, the electrician can quickly convince them of what supposedly doesn't work...

If you do it yourself, it's doable. With the electrician --> no chance! Alone the documentation (which electricians are obliged to do) of the installation or commissioning costs a lot of money depending on the house and effort.

Interesting. Our electrician advised against a wireless variant and wants to sell us KNX. We only want to be able to control the blinds "smartly" and maybe add the lights at some point. The electrician's reasoning for KNX: manufacturer-independent and the costs compared to a wireless solution (e.g., Gira eNet) would be almost identical. Programming "would be no problem" and he would of course take care of it. References? No idea.

I still don't understand the added value of KNX if you "only" want to centrally control your blinds and possibly later the lights and maybe run them via a timer (including presence simulation).

Wind and sun sensors for the blinds also work smoothly via wireless...

He is just supposed to make you a comparison offer. The advantage of wireless is also that you can place the buttons anywhere. Even on glass.
