Smart home roller shutters / venetian blinds with conventional electricity

Well, it's right there. Temperature sensors inside/outside. Solar intensity outside from three directions East/South/West and then the software processing of it all, including calculation of the sun position. And what is also good is a time dependency and presence detection.

How to get that done with the Bosch stuff, I'm not sure. In my opinion, Bosch is more like a way to get a taste for it.

I'm not fixated on Bosch. To be honest, I don't really care which manufacturer. But I understand that there is no off-the-shelf 08/15 solution. Let's see what the electrician says – but he'll probably want to sell me the entire home automation system right away...

Bosch has the significant advantage for me that the system can be seamlessly integrated into HomeKit (Apple).

If you don't value that, you can get comparable devices, even more extensive ones, with Homematic IP as well. Look here for flush-mounted roller shutter control + light sensor and you will find the solution you are looking for.

We are currently planning our new build and had a conversation with our window installer regarding [Raffstores]. Since we are planning 2x 3 [Raffstores], among other things due to large window fronts, and do not want to install countless switches for them, the window installer alternatively suggested the [Raffstores] with Somfy radio drive. This way, for the 2x 3 [Raffstores], one switch each could be used for all up/down movements, and individual control would be done via Somfy.

What are your experiences with this? Which Somfy products are necessary here? Is there an alternative so that fewer switches are needed for up/down? Many thanks!

If you want to stick with it because it is sufficient for you, do not under any circumstances use radio motors. Window manufacturers like to do that. By doing so, you block yourself from the possibility of normal control forever. I am not a fan of Somfy, but precisely because of a somewhat broader view of building control.
