We also use Somfy. We did not have switches installed in the house, but instead received 2 remote controls through which everything can be controlled. Additionally, we have the app, through which scenes can be created.
Afterwards, we installed radio switches in the children's rooms and at the front door (can simply be hung under the existing switch with a double frame). This allows you to control individual rooms or the entire house with the push of a button.
For automatic shading, we installed a light sensor on the south facade. I can then link this with certain scenes and times. This way, at a certain time and with a certain amount of sunlight, the blinds go down.
The awnings in the patio roof were later integrated into the Somfy system as well. It is not a classic smart home, but quite a bit can be controlled with it.

The wind sensors or sun sensors are directly paired with the venetian blind motor. This does not require a TaHoma box, although for around €200 I would definitely buy that device as well.

Depending on where the wind sensor is located and how far the motors are, there may be radio signal problems. Therefore, I would always recommend a central TaHoma box.

That means I can also use the system with my conventional electrical installation? Do I understand correctly that Somfy, like with Z-Wave, has flush-mounted modules which are installed in the junction box of the roller shutter switch and then report wirelessly to the TaHoma Box? And to the TaHoma Box, I can then connect the wind sensor and light sensor?

That's exactly right. Just Google Somfy flush-mounted receiver. You can't connect anything to the TaHoma. It works purely via radio.

That is completely wrong. Your wind sensor cannot be linked with shutters, etc. via TaHoma. It always has to be connected directly to the motor.
