Take a look at the tables and these numbers are really reliable, unlike many (senior) employees in industry & commerce. There is always the possibility that they might be “disposed of” at short notice if the situation calls for it.
The young lady is obviously highly educated as well, so she won’t have to take a job as a hairdresser. In a few years, 7k on the clock is easily achievable and the 2.5k installment is absolutely within limits. For completeness, if we add additional costs of 0.5k, there are still 4k left to live on in the Lower Saxony village. Worse things could happen, I would say. Sure, in the first few years you might have to tighten your *** a bit more but so what, it will pass.
