, , and I have proposed quite a few things. But if you want to make progress, you have to have an approach, whether the suggestions have reached you, meaning they find resonance or represent a no-go.
You also have to take your share in the discussion ;)

Another suggestion: 2 utility rooms, one on the ground floor for technology and storage, the second upstairs as a utility room.
Sizes adjusted so that instead of an office downstairs there is a bedroom, and upstairs the smaller office.

Cost-saving measures: drop the reading corner and gallery!

We didn't really want the master bedroom downstairs and had discarded the idea. It's nice for later, but when the children are still small, we don't find it so advantageous. Nevertheless, I will keep it in mind as a possibility.

We have planned the pantry in the kitchen, but I'm still not completely happy with it.

Regarding the cost-saving measures: we have almost said goodbye to the reading corner. That would be the first approach to save costs now.

Good evening,

just quickly ...

The architecture of the house calls for a straightforward layout inside. Besides, I am of the opinion that if there is a stair connection between the two levels – I assume your architect has calculated correctly, so it has the required number of steps – then this stair form needs space and should not just be carelessly squeezed between two walls ;)

Accordingly, I have "tidied up" the ground floor and the attic a bit ...

Rhenish greetings

You are very elegantly bypassing the stair clarification. What did your architect say about it?

- thanks for the efforts. So I can assume that the ground floor is okay so far. We definitely like it like this. What do you say about the pantry? Extend. integrate more into the kitchen or leave it as is at the expense of the dining area? For the upper floor, I will use your ideas. At first glance, everything is a bit narrow, but of course, without changing the building structure, it is hard to do otherwise. Many thanks for your efforts.

Topic stairs - according to our architect, they work like this. I am a layman and have to believe him for now. He said the steps shown fit like that. What annoys me is that he actually wanted to make us a cross-section through the stairs, but unfortunately, he didn’t have it. Since we didn’t meet in his office, he couldn’t just make it quickly.

No, I think it’s not quite right: the living room is much too big, the upper floor is only sketched as an example, and something should be done with the space next to the stairs, after all, it’s an SL. And if I repeat myself: Kitchen and dining suffer because of the pantry, the kitchen suffers because of the third door, and you do not need a pantry with 15 sqm of kitchen! A blind person can see that in your plan!!! ;) Regarding the roof, I would have liked to hear your opinion... About the bedroom: just consider switching a room from the upper floor to the ground floor when the children are for example 6 years old. You can well manage with a smaller master bedroom for those few years, and when the children are similar ages, you only need one children’s room. Plan the dressing room where it will be needed later. You should sketch your plan individually according to the periods. Possibly put the bathroom area opposite the stair start on the basement floor, and the upper floor above. To bring laundry outside, you can also just go down 7 steps... Your dining room has plenty of circulation space to go outside. ;) These should just be some food for thought for you, because I realize you won’t make progress if you a) cling to the building, b) cannot rethink rooms.
