Should satellite TV still be installed in the new building at all?

I have installed it everywhere but have not installed a SAT dish to this day (4 years). I think it rather depends on whether you watch public television. We don’t do that, only Netflix, Amazon Prime, or Disney+. If necessary, online media library for grandma and grandpa.

In every living and bedroom we have SAT - since we didn't find the time to install the dish on the roof, after moving in, originally as a temporary solution, we added IP TV with our magenta-colored internet provider.
Conclusion: The SAT dish will probably never be installed.
IP TV in a package with all HD channels and subscriptions like Netflix, RTL+ etc. included is even cheaper for us than having the subscriptions individually.
I had already considered it unnecessary before the renovation but let myself be convinced by my electrician.

Would not do it again. Completely unnecessary.

We had a dish and removed it when repainting the facade. We no longer need it because of Magenta.

Just found the thread via search. Do you happen to still know how much credit (if any) you received for removing the SAT wiring? I'm currently considering something similar...

50 EUR net per TV socket and 25 EUR for the analog telephone connection.

Install. You don't know if there will be a quantum leap in the sat field in 10 years…

I also have it in the equipment room. It also works when the internet is down. Because then Netflix doesn't work either.
