Which satellite system? Is the brand of the system important?

So we have installed an 80s Kathrein dish, Kathrein LNB (UAS 585) and Kathrein multiswitch (EXR 58/ECO) and are very satisfied, no failures during heavy rain and wind. In the previous rental building, we had an inexpensive dish and always had problems with the LNB (regardless of pb Schwaiger, TechniSat, ...) in rain.
