I draw my own conclusion from this very interesting discussion: Everyone should sweep in front of their own door, living space is a luxury, we are all(!) very privileged... my humble opinion. Happy New Year by the way.

Edit: questions that were not clarified for me here: What is hard work? What is appropriate compensation? What is responsibility at work? ...

Most of the time, the quiet ones could answer. But they probably have to work right now, for little pay and lots of responsibility. I can already sense the partly existing mindset: I always work the hardest. I always earn too little compared to others and I always carry tons of responsibility o_O.....in my home office or elsewhere. Somehow, the lazy ones are always the others. I’ll come clean. Sometimes I had responsibility, and sometimes it didn’t matter if I was there. I’ve often lived a clever life; sometimes nobody would have wanted to trade places with me. I always got enough money to be able to have a say here today, so enough. My conclusion: I’m lucky and don’t want to trade with anyone! Honestly – we all like to be lazy sometimes and slack off when we can. We’re really not that important. Tomorrow, someone else will do just as well or better.

Alternative to building land as an investment would be farmland. In SH increase of 5% p.a. And additionally lease income as interest. One hectare costs around 40 thousand euros, depending on the soil score also 50.

TE here, there are practically no farmers left here. One has to be glad if someone mows the meadows. You can't make any money with leasing [Pacht] of agricultural land here.
