Well great, you just had to poke at this wound too
We currently don't have any invoice yet, they will all come in 2021.
Once again about 10,000 bucks thrown down the drain...

No, you didn't throw it away; you would have had to pay it anyway without the measures. Besides, it's about taxes that (hopefully) benefit the affected sectors and the associated entrepreneurs and employees.
Seeing yourself as a loser even as a homebuilder is quite audacious.
Yes, it would have been nice if it had worked out for you. Sure. But to reinterpret it so that it feels like "throwing money away" to you, I find quite self-centered.

Attention, deliberately odd comparison but you always completely avoid the topic of antisocial speculation with goods necessary for others.

If I did the same with Covid vaccines or food in a famine, that is hoarding the goods and profiting from the price increase caused by artificial scarcity, then that would be extremely questionable.

In the end, everyone has their own opinion on this. We are still relatively young and want to keep every option open, and yes, if we ever do sell because we emigrate and make more money from it, then we will be happy. And no, I do not feel guilty about it. As mentioned above, we pay property taxes and have obligations to fulfill on the property. Surely it would be good if everyone could build and there was enough land for everyone, but that will not happen. In the end, the OP was concerned with the question of what is cheaper, selling land or taking on more credit. And if you look at the value development of building land and compare it to the interest rates, then taking on more credit is ultimately the "better" option for HIM. Not for others and certainly not for the idealized young family. But honestly, who here voluntarily pays thousands more for the benefit of others.

By the way, I would find it much better to permanently reduce the VAT and take the missing money from the land hoarders. No one is forced to hoard land.

SUV drivers and frequent flyers usually don’t either. Everyone is entitled to create their own morality.
