As a plasterer, he has to say something like that. So with the neighbor, the painter offered both options, and painter's fleece was at least more expensive in the offer. Makes sense, because at least you have to putty and sand once in any case. The actual wallpapering is probably easier and faster than puttying and sanding three more times. The neighbor then chose puttying and sanding and is also satisfied. But I think the painter bit his own butt. He was definitely busy there for three weeks. Was also alone and not there every day, but he really needed many trips. I am currently having rough sanding, puttying, and wallpapering with painter's fleece done. However, only on the ground floor. Costs 4,000 EUR plus material (provided by me). I still have to paint myself.
So I am currently still waiting for the plasterer's offer but wanted to get a feeling for how something like this is priced.
We have an offer regarding wallpapering with painter's fleece from the painter for 1,700€ including material etc. (all complete). We would take over the sanding work on the ceiling ourselves, as well as the priming, so that the painter only has to apply the painter's fleece. We would also do the application of dispersion paint on the painter's fleece ourselves (2 buckets at 100€ each).
As said, the plasterer recommended only puttying, sanding, and spraying paint without doing anything with painter's fleece. He said you don't need that anymore then. I am curious what this variant will cost but think that this will be the best and easiest option. Possibly even cheaper than having the painter apply ONLY painter's fleece?
