It’s like with many things, if you don’t get it right the first time (or have it done right), you just have to do it twice or more.
Our “wood stud cabin” was completely clad with drywall (simple and only 9.5 mm) in 2009, “tape” was glued into all wall/ceiling joints, everything was neatly filled.
And then the builder got to work.
On our wedding day we painted the entire house (ground floor/upper floor) with primer together.:D
Wall and ceiling coverings were “colorfully” mixed by us. From classic woodchip wallpaper, to non-woven wallpaper, “design smooth filler”(7 layers), cotton plaster (lightly applied by the builder with a smoothing trowel…) to Decoperl (paint with styrofoam beads), everything is there.
Cracks, whether ceiling/walls or joints, none to be found even after 12 years.
