Brief update:
All walls have now been completely covered with base plaster and then painted with decorative quartz (partly by the plasterer, partly by us). We are really thrilled - it looks really great!
Now, the "actual" last coat with dispersion paint is still pending, which we will most likely skip...
In the bedroom, I applied the 3rd coat with STO Rapid Ultra Matt - in my opinion, there was no visible difference compared to the opposite wall, which was left unpainted for comparison.
Only the grains were no longer as hard, the wall was a bit softer, no longer as sharp. But with a 0.5mm grain size, that is not important at all since the grains don’t stick out anyway.
I think we will leave it at that and will not put in the effort ourselves to paint the entire ground floor with wooden floor areas white.
It is certainly important to apply a good base plaster and a good roll plaster (not some DIY store rubbish) - we were really very satisfied with the result!
If any "blemishes" or discolorations caused by the craftsmen arise now, I will just touch these up with some paint - I don’t think any difference will be visible.
Regarding the ceiling: It was puttied twice, sanded, and sprayed. In a few places, we now have splashes (I suspect from a primer, as well as 2 pencil marks) that we cannot remove with a damp cloth. Does anyone have an idea how to repair a completely smoothly sprayed ceiling, or how to possibly remove impurities without paint (pencil and/or primer)?
