However, it should be considered that if you paint directly onto the Q2 plaster without painter's fleece, it will be a "dirty job" to remove the paint again. Because at some point, you can no longer paint over paint layer after layer. If wallpaper is under the paint, it will be easier during later renovations.

Nope. I just mentioned what, in my opinion, is not suitable for living rooms.
The question is what you want, what you like? Regardless of whether you can do it yourself.

We didn't do everything ourselves either.

It depends, with lime paint that works. I think with silicate too. Not with dispersion, that's true.

Our plasterer recommended that we completely fill, sand, and then spray paint the concrete ceilings.

He would do that... The plasterers apparently apply some kind of spray filler, smooth it out, sand it (twice), and then the ceiling is as smooth as car paint. The plasterer has already done TOP work for us... The plaster really looks very good. We are currently still waiting for the offer for this.

But roughly, what do you think? Does something like this cost significantly more than having the painter wallpaper the ceilings completely with painter’s fleece? Or if yes, how much more should something like that cost (percentage-wise)? Has anyone had experience with this?

He rather advised against the painter’s fleece because he said that you often see air bubbles through it, shadows appear, and it just isn’t 100% clean.

On the wall, we will definitely apply a proper roller plaster directly onto the gypsum ourselves.

As a plasterer, he has to say something like that. So the painter offered both options at the neighbor’s, and at least the painter’s fleece was more expensive in the offer. That makes sense too, because at least one time filling and sanding is necessary anyway. The actual wallpapering is probably easier and faster than filling and sanding three more times. The neighbor then also chose filling and sanding and is satisfied. But I think the painter bit his own behind. He was definitely busy there for three weeks. He was alone and not there every day, but he really needed a lot of trips. I am currently having rough sanding, filling, and wallpapering with painter’s fleece done. However, only on the ground floor. It costs 4,000 EUR plus material (provided by me). I still have to do the painting myself.

Ask the painter, he will tell you the advantages of fleece. When "selling," you don't have to mention the disadvantages; with 5 advantages, the customer thinks there are no more disadvantages. We have ceilings and walls with fleece and different colors on them (from the painter).
