I was generally referring to the statement: Environmental pig, whoever in 2021 still installs a gas heating system in a new building.

The units are now so quiet, you can hardly hear them anymore. We just had one installed. We were advised against placing it in the bedroom, but it absolutely would not have disturbed. Much more disturbing (for us) is the cold airflow that comes out of it.

Correct. The noises are very subtle. You can barely hear ours at the front by the street anymore. It is just under 6 meters. In the building permit, a radius of three meters is drawn. The air-water heat pump is only allowed to have a certain noise level (dB) there. I have asked all our neighbors if they perceive our air-water heat pump as "disturbing"? No one feels "bothered". :)

Hello everyone,

a few days without checking the forum and my thread already has 26 pages :eek::eek:
A brief update, since we want to start building next year, nothing has happened yet for me.
It will be photovoltaics (+storage) + heat pump (+storage) + underfloor heating ... Meanwhile, the question is more whether to go WITH KfW or WITHOUT? Why? 90% of current builders in my area would not use KfW, or not again, because 1. the interest rates are so low, 2. they say yes, the subsidy is nice and all, you can at best break even on the supply temperature but since our energy consultants do not provide construction supervision, the administrative effort during the already stressful construction is very high.
This statement (and similar ones) I keep hearing again and again.

Now I ask again to the group, what EXACTLY do I have to do and provide for KFW 55 EE in order to get the funding?
- Document photos?
- Receipts of materials?
- Receipts of executed trades (from all or only from those relevant for KfW - which are those?)
- For 55 EE blower door test?

I want a lot to be done by friends as personal labor, so there won’t always be invoices.
I don’t want this to break my neck when it comes to eligibility, right?

Is there not a detailed step-by-step description with the requirements on the KfW website (or elsewhere)?

Regards
Flo

You definitely need an energy consultant. They can then tell you what you need. With us, the builder did everything. I hardly had to do anything except be at home for the acceptance appointments and sign a few forms beforehand to send to the energy consultant.

That you only break even on the costs, I cannot confirm. Our house already met the Kfw55 requirements, the only choice was between a gas heating system (then no Kfw55) and a heat pump (then Kfw55). This resulted in additional costs of about €4000, with a subsidy of €18000 the decision was quickly made.

Leave out the storage. It eats up the profitability of photovoltaics. More info gladly via PM.
