KfW Energy Efficiency House 70 – Funding Discontinued
Technologies that were considered particularly innovative a few years ago have meanwhile become standard in construction. Nowadays, new buildings without special additional features achieve the values relevant for a KfW Energy Efficiency House 70. Powerful and yet low-consumption heating systems, comprehensive thermal insulation, and triple-glazed windows significantly reduce energy consumption. Therefore, KfW discontinued funding for the Energy Efficiency House 70 as of April 1, 2016. In the current funding program "Building and Living," builders who wish to receive grants or promotional loans must plan at least to the standard of KfW Energy Efficiency House 55 or better.
