House construction 2016 - Which and when are the next steps to take?

I have now received information from the KFW that only the KFW 70 application still has to be submitted this year. The building application is independent and can still be submitted in January (planning is based on the reference building of the Energy Saving Ordinance 2014).

I almost believe that the employees of the KFW bank are overwhelmed with this topic......

Either the person providing the information really overslept or your question was ambiguously asked ...?

The Energy Saving Ordinance 2016 applies from January 1, 2016; applications for Kfw 70 (Energy Saving Ordinance 2014) can still be submitted to the KfW until March 31, 2016 ... if and insofar ... (see post '27 by user Fenix) and the building application is still submitted this year.

A building application submitted after December 31, 2015 always refers to the Energy Saving Ordinance applicable then!

Maybe the caseworker rather meant that it does not matter when you start construction – after submission of the approval-free building permit?

For your construction project, the basis for calculation is the date of the building application. The decisive date for our funding conditions is the date the application is received by the KfW.
Therefore, the date your building application is submitted is not relevant for the application of KfW funds.

Questions about the building application and calculations should be clarified with the expert and the building authority.

To receive funding for the "KfW-Effizienzhaus 70" in the product "Energieeffizient Bauen" (153), it is important that you submit the application to your financing partner before the first groundbreaking and that the complete application documents reach us by 31.03.2016. Please also submit the online confirmation, completed by the expert and signed by you.

The calculation method for a KfW-Effizienzhaus, which is based on a so-called "reference building method", does not change. This means that a building constructed today according to the KfW-Effizienzhaus standard 55 or 40 will still meet the requirements for such an efficiency house after 2016. The product improvements apply to KfW-Effizienzhaus 55, 40 and 40 Plus and to all applications received by us from 01.04.2016 onwards.

The amount of the repayment bonus and conditions will be announced shortly before the product launch.

The response from KfW does not state that you can only submit the building application in January - if you still want to build according to the current energy saving ordinance. It only states that the building application and the application for funding are two different things and must be applied for independently. That is also correct.
