Kitchen offers without price indications - is this common?

It's not just about the devices. Sometimes I had to ask again which price group and which fronts they are at all. What is planned inside. Drawers? Shelves? What cabinet height etc etc

I think that simply satisfies the general XXL customer. White and matte. Done. I already knew beforehand that Smartglas is PG4 and Resopal is PG3. I knew what grids are and how many drawers and pull-outs I want in which cabinet. I would also recommend anyone who has the opportunity to read up on it. Salespeople talk a lot all day long and no one knows cooking habits better than oneself.

... but with that, you were also one of the max. about 10% of kitchen customers who really informed themselves thoroughly beforehand.

To everyone else ... you wouldn’t believe how different kitchens can be planned even in so-called standard rooms. I’ve been doing this as a hobby for almost 16 years, and a lot in the implementation is really a matter of details that can quickly make a difference of several thousand euros ... design of the side panels, countertops, and the like.

I would find it very good if it could become established that, starting from the second consultation appointment, a fee of, let’s say, 200 to 400 euros is paid as a planning fee. This would be offset upon commissioning. This would exempt the real standard kitchens, which as a rule are actually finalized at the first planning appointment.

Why not? That’s exactly how it works with us. We have our kitchen planned by an interior designer (specialized in this). If we order the kitchen from her, the fee is credited. If not, we pay a previously agreed flat rate. I find that fair and transparent, and I prefer it a thousand times over the secretiveness described above.

Therefore, I also expect the inquiry. Ultimately, it’s also about the working height, for example who does what. hmm, but I actually find that very unprofessional. However, I remember that we were also in such a, as mentioned above, XXL-specialty studio: I said something about white and high gloss and definitely the same grid, also no offset in height, and after half an hour I ask what the offset is for. yes, there’s no other way… We broke off there because our specifications had been planned exactly elsewhere beforehand. And there we explicitly went to the surfaces (Nolte), cabinets and sink in the showroom… Not the appliances, because nowadays and also back in 2013 simple ovens have at least 7 functions, which were enough for me. The previous year was also not that important to me. And I read about the group on the internet, so he could have told me something I wouldn’t have been able to grasp. Maybe one should basically just advise to pay attention to whether he works and communicates _with_ you or whether he goes solo.

I will quote a part from another thread..

That’s how we did it too, only we did not order the kitchen there. For the planning, we paid a flat fee of €375. However, I saved myself visits of several hours in other kitchen studios after the first two appointments already cost me 5 hours of life but brought no added value.

I would do it the same way again today, unless I get an explicit recommendation that someone works particularly dedicated and transparently.
