Kitchen offers without price indications - is this common?

In the end, we went to a carpenter who gave us slightly less product but an extremely professional material consultation. The offer clearly refers to the current wood price on the market and transparently shows how the price changes if wood becomes more expensive/cheaper.

That's what we did after some frustrating visits to kitchen studios. Top carpenter, top quality, we are still very, very satisfied with the decision. With so much arrogance, the kitchen studios can figure out where to stick it, just ignore them. For nearly 50,000 EUR, you can expect not to be sold a surprise egg and that your own wishes are really taken into account. And before I sign such a contract, I need to know what I’m getting for my money. If they find enough fools to buy a pig in a poke, congratulations.

50K sounds like a lot to me. Of course, it depends on the size, etc. But I do wonder if the carpenter isn’t a bit more expensive in the end with comparable equipment?

So should I make two appointments? Once to read it calmly, with a watcher next to me, then sleep on it overnight and then again for the signature? If you've basically already agreed? I somehow don't believe in that.
