Kitchen offers without price indications - is this common?

that's the crucial point: the agreement. You receive all information and drawings. The contract is valid from both sides. What if every kitchen planner first had to be paid €240 for planning (or €90 for rough planning), which would then be offset? I don't think that would be accepted by the customer.

Yes, sure, but this secrecy is just ridiculous. The typical single-family house kitchen is not so complicated that you couldn't reconstruct the floor plan with the next provider within 15 minutes. Which most customers probably do anyway. Accordingly, no one gains anything and due to lack of comparability, in the end the one with the lowest price wins, not the one with the best price/performance ratio. Because if you don't know what's inside, you also don't know that you're getting more...

I don't think so either. And what are 90 or 240 euros anyway, if we're honest. I came into the studio with my own plan. I knew how many cabinets, how wide they are, and where they should be, and still, I think we had 4 appointments (each about 3 hours) before we got a contract. Planning makes up a large part of a kitchen and a good plan is worth a lot.

My first kitchen studio, where the consultation was really good and where we basically could have gotten almost everything we wanted, handled it like this: "So, I’m actually not allowed to show you the individual prices, and I’m not allowed to print anything out for you at this time either. But I have to look something up here, and what you do with your phone is your business..." I found that very likeable, and that way I really had all the prices. The price was also good in comparison (I had visited two other studios and a furniture store). But unfortunately still too high for our budget. Today it would probably be a great offer, but I still really couldn’t afford it. at least not if I want to have a terrace soon.

With my kitchen man, I was even given the fittings in the offer - before acceptance. All devices listed. The transparency was a reason for me to agree there.

What do you mean by secrecy? If the appliances are that important to you: inform yourself beforehand, write down the appliance model, and go to a showroom that offers the manufacturer. The consultant will be glad when you have taken the work off their hands.

And as I said: the purchase contract states EVERYTHING you are buying. Down to the cutlery tray or the non-slip mat.
