I have to say... I haven't had such experiences. We were at Roller (they also sell Nolte, Nobilia etc) and had a great kitchen planned there including appliances, and the salesperson really did a great job with us, took a lot of time, etc., and gave us printouts. Later, when it really became relevant, we also went to a kitchen studio that had contracts with the construction company so there was a discount. There we also saw everything simultaneously on a large screen during the planning. The electrical appliances would have been very expensive there. In the end, we bought the kitchen there and were able to order the electrical appliances ourselves over the internet.

Hello Ela yes, I felt the same way. I went to two different kitchen studios and only received inadequate answers. Then a friend of my wife told me so enthusiastically about her kitchen purchase. Dassbach. They have a production in Berlin. Bingo: That fit. Steven

Maybe I should have described/expressed that a bit more precisely beforehand.

I was definitely prepared for the kitchen planning appointments. On the one hand, I pre-planned the kitchen myself with a kitchen planner so that one can see what I want. I also wrote down the cabinet elements that I absolutely want.

In addition, I had informed myself beforehand about the functions available for the appliances (oven, dishwasher, ...) and which brands would be suitable... I created a list and marked the functions I want as well as those that are basically "nice to have"... I also had a list with specific models that I would find fitting for the appliances.

I was told that kitchen studios have better and different models than those you get on the internet... but at least I can have the functions.

Well, since I didn’t get a list of the included appliances at all, I can only hope that they are actually included. That’s exactly what makes me so suspicious. And then there’s the difference in prices. I have to be able to see to make sure that everything has actually been implemented or am I supposed to try that out when the thing is installed in 2 years?

I’m not usually at a loss for words and addressed that directly. Both salespeople said that this procedure was quite normal and usual. They said they would try to include the wishes as well and that I have to rely on the professional. I actually see that differently. So I thought I’d just ask how others have experienced this.

I have now researched the dealers mentioned here in the thread once and requested an appointment. Let’s see how it goes there :) It actually can’t be that difficult because I actually have very clear ideas. In the end, I just want to know that what I want is included in the offer and what it costs.

Best regards Ela

If the lady stayed friendly when she saw your plan...?
You basically took the work away from a professional. There are the pragmatic type of people and those who get annoyed that a layman dares to do professional work ;)

You also don’t have a written contract yet.

If the contract is to come into effect, you will get printouts that you read, possibly change, and then sign. It’s like buying a house.

That’s how it is! ;)

We had the same experiences in the Berlin/Brandenburg area. Sometimes even worse, because we arrived with a budget of about €20,000 including electrical appliances, but they tried to sell us a Bora induction cooktop for €6,000... If I can recommend someone for communication, it’s Möbel-Haag from Görlitz. The planner was very quick and, in my opinion, good. He responded immediately (also on weekends via WhatsApp).

In the end, however, we decided on a Polish cabinetmaker from my wife’s hometown. We are now paying less than €20,000 for a lot of kitchen + electrical appliances that we are sourcing ourselves + natural stone countertop (8 linear meters).

I can understand the OP. Actually, the whole thing is supposed to be an offer. However, an offer is a unilateral declaration of intent with binding character. But if I don't even know what is being bound by it, the whole thing is null and void. It can always be changed afterwards by the processor.
