Just ask the prefabricated house providers. They do this practically every day. Besides, wasn't there something about a documented consultation being sufficient?

The ones we had gotten that far with didn't tell us anything at all...

What do you mean by the consultation?

With an energy consultant, but the info may also be outdated.

As said, just ask the house providers and/or your bank.
Otherwise, inform yourself on the pages of [Bafa], [Kfw] and co.

The documented consultation is only considered timely in loan variant 261.

A small tip: maybe google BEG FAQ and then read point 3.11 carefully.

Hi,

your contract from the provider should contain a so-called “aufschiebenden Bedingung” regarding the KFW. This allows you to sign the contract and only then submit the KFW application. But you can find this firstly on the KFW website and secondly, your provider and their energy consultant should also know this.

If you want the loan, it will be applied for by your bank. If you only want the funding, you have to apply for it yourself at the KFW. For this, your energy consultant prepares all the documents and enters the data of your house at the KFW and generates a “Nummer”. You then have to enter this number in the KFW portal and that’s it. Sorry for the brief message... typing on phone is annoying :D

I didn't reach our provider yesterday, maybe today, but I reached another one who scared me even more than I already was. He said that for the second residential unit, a second ventilation system is also required, and additionally the basement ceiling must be better insulated (even though the basement is already much better insulated because of KfW 40??). Our provider didn't tell us any of this (but he is also one of the very small ones, and the other one (who can't build us a granny flat at that price anyway and generally likes to complain about the competitors) which makes us extremely anxious. He also said that if one residential unit is for any reason at risk of losing the funding, we won't get any funding at all, not even for the house.

We need this funding but somehow we can't manage all this. Is there any list from KfW or BEG where it shows what has to be done for the second residential unit to receive the funding? We have already read pages of PDFs and found nothing like that.
