Is it possible to plan an eat-in kitchen with special requests in only 29 m²?

I can gladly attach the wall there (in real life) as a timber frame wall. It’s also easier for me to install the controlled residential ventilation duct with a valve (exhaust) inside there instead of in the solid utility room wall.

We also only have plates and cups + glasses in drawers at the office. I much prefer that to upper cabinets. I currently only have 2 tiny ones of those in my current kitchen (for glasses and cups).

I would definitely like to have the table custom-made if there really aren’t any suitable off-the-shelf solutions. I would inquire about the implementation at a kitchen studio with its own carpenter.

Wouldn’t a tall cabinet 120cm wide be possible instead of the refrigerator on the left? Refrigerator and oven inside ... and some storage space. The oven wouldn’t then have to be in the island and there would be storage for pots, pans, dishes + cutlery there.

I could imagine the color of the kitchen in high-gloss silver gray/light gray or white. The handles in dark gray or stainless steel.

Countertop mmmmhhhh, it should be resistant. Granite? Artificial stone? Color rather light but not white.

Hello We discussed your proposal again within the family today. It then turned out that an island as suggested is unfortunately not possible. The indicated couch is too small; if it gets the right size, the passage between table/chair and terrace door becomes too narrow. On the other hand, there is not much space between the island and the kitchen unit. And the passage between the island and the utility room wall is tight if a chair is placed in front.

Therefore, we tried some changes and came up with approximately this plan...

The couch could even be a "bit" wider.

The dining table (currently about 80x130cm) would be designed extendable, so it would be possible to accommodate 8-10 people. Additionally, there was an idea not to fix it firmly to the unit but just to "dock" it and, if necessary, turn it at a right angle and push it further into the hallway in front of the utility room to get more space for additional table surface.

Shift the wall at the utility room more towards the door, so a 60cm cabinet with drawers fits there. Sink and stove are practically close to each other.

Now I am of course curious whether this is practicable to implement and what the opinions on the new design are...

How wide is your couch? I had the impression that you weren’t talking about a sectional sofa..

The dishwasher simply doesn’t fit in depth with your measured 59 cm, which will probably become even less.
The sink rubs against the corner, the stove is too close to the sink.... 2 people can’t be there together...
Laying long water pipes (dishwasher) is one thing, but behind a stove is another.

It seems to me that when you talk about wow effects, you are a bit dazed and dreaming of what you actually want and not what you planned.
Or your wow effects may also be taken from the 90s (;) the table in a tilted position...)
If you like it, then just do it that way.
Personally, I don’t like it because you block off a large area that is not even used.

Hi ypg, I specifically remeasured, it’s actually 64 cm between the wall and the window element. That means the usual (tall) cabinets should fit. Of course, I hadn’t thought about the necessary pipes. The dishwasher could then move towards the utility room? (under the cooktop or next to/under the sink, but then not "built high"). It will probably only be used once or twice a week. I/we had also tried to shrink the island enough to make it fit. But if the island should roughly keep its original size, there would still be too little space on some side. The sink would only be a narrow basin, the rest would be a draining/drip area. The cooktop is still somewhat flexibly movable on the surface. And the sink can definitely move further to the right. Well, sectional sofas are usually more than 3 meters wide ;) Currently, the couch is only drawn in at about 2 meters. But there are very few that narrow and also extendable or have a corresponding lying area (occasional sleeping place for an overnight guest). And still look good

So, the "90s style" hasn’t left me alone. Now tried it again with the island solution (120x100cm) and an acceptable couch size (width).

Visually, it comes close to your plan I also like my "90s style" better . It also looks very "tidy," which I definitely like. Now maybe make the island a little narrower? Would that still make sense? As it is, I at least still have some chopping space. The way to the sink is acceptable. The surfaces now seem to be well utilized. Only the pathways are very narrow – between couch and chair, for example. Can someone please take away my doubts?

Already better :) I would make the drawer cabinet narrower so that you can actually fit the oven and refrigerator side by side.

If you use standard base cabinets, then you are at 90/92 cm depth for the island. That is sufficient and great.
Try to attach the island rotated at the drawn wall in your place, ... then you use the space optimally, and nothing is too tight. And with 29sqm, 2 chairs should be enough, two more can then be taken from the hallway and bedroom or folding options for more guests.
The round tabletop also has exactly the purpose that there are no corners to bump into.
