For an architect, this is absolutely sufficient to imagine where you want to arrange which windows. In reality, a 40 x 30 cm little window (about DIN A3) would of course only leave a symbolic glass surface.

Both apply (also) to me.

I'll sketch that out for myself tomorrow! Thanks for that.

Great, thanks for your feedback. The goal was to make it clear that we want large windows in the important/sensible places and where just a bit of light is enough and the windows are more for ventilation, small ones are completely sufficient.

That has become almost caricature-like clear ;-)

We have built in such a way that we do not need to distinguish between inside and outside over months; indoors and outdoors flow into each other. If you want to terrace the slope and need retaining walls, increase the budget significantly. I would estimate around €700,000 in total. An architect will be able to make good use of the preliminary work. Describe your thoughts in words and pictures. You don't need to be consistent; rather, the architect must be able to get to know you through it.

I liked your post, but I want to clearly exclude your price estimate from this. ;)

Sorry about that. If it turns out to be less, that's fine. Planning some leeway is essential, so don't stretch the financial limits. We built on a slope ourselves. It was great and turned out well. We needed a certain flexibility for the costs and we had it. For example, differences in soil classes show up in the calculations.
