Why do you orient the open living space to the east towards the street and block the south side (no neighbor) with the sofa? I would especially rotate the ground floor by 90 degrees and try to get the staircase facing north.
The question is absolutely justified. We oriented the open living space to the east because the Main River flows by about 200m as the crow flies, and behind it there are vineyards everywhere. Due to our slope, we are then significantly higher than the row of houses east of us and thus have a good view of water and vineyard. I am already looking forward to the view. :)
I would probably either separate the hallway to have soundproofing upstairs or just leave it open.
There is already supposed to be a (sliding) door so that you can separate the open living space from the rest.
Luxury features for us are a very elaborate roof, special facade elements, KNX, a basement living area, sash windows/doors, geothermal energy or cold, and a few smaller things.
Great! And thanks for the breakdown.
Also, many thanks again in general for all your good answers. They have already helped us enormously. In fact, we are currently a bit annoyed that things like a "showroom-style kitchen" (ypg) and the poor size planning for the living room corner and dressing room didn’t immediately occur to us ourselves. We also take the gap between dream/budget and the resulting considerations about where we can downsize with us.
I would like to close with a quote from February 2020 ( )
Please excuse me, I have to go off-topic briefly:
Since the realization of our building area and thus our house plan is taking longer, I am only a silent reader. I have often thought: "Hopefully the forum is still as active, helpful and above all constructive when it gets serious for us!"
.. The hope was justified! ;)
