Ground more "difficult" than expected in the report, payment for the access road, building authority wants a railing somewhere on the property, additional ideas like "oh, we'll do this too..." or instructions from the clients on the construction site, beautification budget for moving in - lights, furniture, this and that, topping-out ceremony, good care of the construction workers (totally worth it!), type and number of terraces, plants, garden furniture, men's toys for the new house on a natural plot: tractor, chainsaw, wood splitter, grill...

Oh yes, don't underestimate the coffee.

I am always surprised at what a friendly good morning and a cup of coffee can do. I only noticed it in the fall when construction workers tore up the sidewalk. Every evening the driveway was clear, the excavator out of sight, and in the end, even some gravel was given as a gift.
They are already happy not to be scolded, that's how far we've come.

The same goes for the house. There are already craftsmen who think along, who make suggestions. All because of coffee, water, and occasionally something warm to eat.

Things like flooring and painting costs. Definitely check and get quotes before the bigger renovation orgies.

Thank you both!

"Nothing bad." That sounded more positive in the experience thread. ;) Where exactly is "around here"?

I’m really worried about that. So far it has been assumed that it is decent soil that the vintners/farmers are happy to take. I won’t allow stony excavation material to be brought into the vineyards.

That’s a point my wife and I, as well as my mother-in-law, really look forward to. Due to my job, I can sometimes stop by the construction site around noon and get an update on the provisions. :)

Thanks! Floor coverings are included with 30 euros/m2 for 30x60cm tiles and 90 euros/m2 for parquet. We are, as of "now", sure that we will stick with 30x60cm.

It is really not meant negatively. I have never heard anything bad. There are repeat offenders on my parents’ street. Brandl builds a lot here in the area. Here, Brandl is literally right on the doorstep. Albert, Wolf, and Hanse as well as a few small ones too
