Oh, come on, I think I know pretty well what I currently and in the coming years will need. We just don’t get into the tub with a slipped disc. We had one for years, we’ve only used it for showering (and washing motorcycle gear) for years. If you can and want to afford the extra 30 sqm, that’s great. But not everyone can and wants to do that. We also built a house because we wanted to. But I dislike building something I know I won’t use. I can spend my money differently (we also want to travel a lot in the future). Everyone just has different preferences and ideas.Almost everything, you said it. What I put in my washing machine and how I wash high-quality fabrics, let that be my thing :) And how my mom’s expensive blanket is washed, too.
Nope, I also take baths :) And then there is the carp thing ;)
You are welcome to do that. I can also shower in my tub, but you cannot bathe in your shower :p And I also built 30 sqm larger than we need right away. I don’t need a house either, I just wanted it. One person’s like this, another’s like that.
And who five years ago thought they would need a home office spot, since they had their desk in the open-plan office (used to have) ;)
The topic of what a tub can generally be used for has been talked about here many times. Hand washing is only a small part of that. We don’t need to bring that up again here – but if you want, sure. Outside of my usual practices, I gladly give tips here in the forum on how others (or even I) handle things differently or otherwise, so that one can generally and without much investment have or can have joy in their house beyond the next 5 - 10 years.
Edit: I don’t wish you or your husband a slipped disc!
