Surely, the volume is always subjective. I am probably sensitive too ... but in the first few months, I found it very disturbing that it was never completely quiet. Over time, you get somewhat used to it, but I can't imagine sleeping with fans running. However, the air in the bedrooms is not significantly bad at night and in the morning.

I believe we have the Lunos E2.

It’s all relative. A bit of noise might be unusual but you can get used to it. There are plenty of people here who think you can’t sleep without shutters. It works differently, as you surely know.

I didn’t want to start a fundamental discussion now but just point out that it bothers us, for example, at night. That you should basically be prepared for it... I had also read this in advance quite often in forums, but 1. I didn’t really want to believe it and 2. I didn’t seriously have a choice. Our budget was also limited (not because we couldn’t spend more – we just didn’t want to spend more on the house). And for this very low price (under 1400 Euro per sqm pure construction costs) we got a nice and flawless house that we are very happy with day after day

We have about 20 sqm of anthracite plastic windows and doors on the east, south, and west. The sun really hits them hard. But nothing cracks, and nothing is warped either. We are now in the 6th year...

With wooden windows, people say that they warp and need to be repainted regularly. So where is the bigger evil now?

Hm... well, our ventilation would also be loud at 3. And I couldn’t fall asleep if it was rushing. But I don’t have to, because it doesn’t have to run constantly. It runs for one hour in the evening, at night when everyone is in deep sleep, and in the morning when we leave the house. Since the plumbers set it up like that back then and we haven’t suffocated in stuffiness yet, I wonder why you have so much trouble with the ventilation.

We have listened to various decentralized devices live, there are big differences. Lunos was not among them, but according to forums they are not the quietest. We decided on a central ventilation system. If decentralized is already included in the house price, the extra cost for central may not be as high as usual. In the bedroom and at night you hear more, but especially there the ventilation is a great comfort gain and should be quiet. I would also reconsider the chimney. If then a small one that stores heat for a long time (masonry stove).

Can you adjust the ventilation yourself, for example, so that it runs when you leave the house? Or does a plumber have to do it? If you can do it yourself, I would take that option; it's also better for the bathroom (showering). The price includes it, but when we looked at houses, many did not have it installed.
