Hello, how did you finally decide?

We ourselves are faced with the question – and this question is primarily financial – whether central or decentralized ventilation in the bungalow.

Excerpt from the offer:
Costs for your desired heating technology of the air-water heat pump recoCOMPACT exclusive including the necessary accessories (materials) for execution and installation (labor) are (costs 16,870 euros)

Our standard air-water heat pump (incl. 4x Lunos e2) according to the offer you have had a surcharge of 4,150 euros.

So, at least in my favored example, there would be an additional cost of about 13,000 EUR for the desired equipment. Otherwise, there are apparently extra costs of about 8,000-9,000 EUR for a controlled residential ventilation system. Friends installed a central controlled residential ventilation [Vaillant recoVair] for about 7,500 [installation own work].

Decentralized ventilation is better than none at all, and centralized is better than decentralized. That basically says it all.

Better in what respect? .. Heat recovery degree, noise level, price, comfort, maintenance, durability .. ? And since counter-calculations are often done here in the forum, even if the efficiency of decentralized vs. central can be lower. The question is whether the additional cost of the central system pays off against heat loss + reheating in decentralized (due to possibly lower efficiency). To the two of you who are building with Town & Country, which type of ventilation did you ultimately decide on?

Better in almost every respect. The central controlled residential ventilation loses only in the purchase price compared to the decentralized solutions.

But even here, the gap narrows when you truly calculate all costs. With appropriate planning and the same conditions, for example, you need far more than the 4x decentralized units that Town & Country specifies as the minimum equipment.

Because that only ensures the minimum ventilation.

We have decided on the decentralized ventilation. It is included as standard at TuC and therefore does not incur any extra cost.

How do you come to 4 devices? We get (as mentioned, standard at no extra cost) more than 4 (I think 7 or 8)... if by that the "ventilation points" in the wall are meant... or is something else meant?
