Well, but if a ventilation system is so loud that you can't run it at night, a) it is wrongly designed, installed, or adjusted, and b) one of the biggest advantages is lost: fresh air in the bedroom at night and in the morning.

What does loud mean? Our Helios in the bathroom also always hums audibly to itself, but audible really only in the bathroom itself and just barely in the adjacent bedroom. That doesn't bother. Sleep is always with the window open. Always.

That sounds really good with your gas consumption, I would say as a layman. Regarding the noise level of the ventilation, I will ask again, is it the same device? But noise level is perceived differently by everyone and it will be difficult to make a statement.

Well, with a Flair the combination of plastic and anthracite might still work: these houses don’t overdo it with floor-to-ceiling and giant sliding doors. In general, plastic and anthracite is not yet the problem, but plastic and anthracite and large-format frames and south-facing side and little shading. If you add fewer "risk factors," there is also less cracking.

99% of new buildings have been made with plastic + anthracite for years. There are plenty of window manufacturers who implement this and offer a warranty. So keep cool, even if in theory this is not the optimal material mix.

So if it is already so loud that you can hear it in the next room, then you have reached the point where a warning is necessary. That definitely shouldn’t be the case.

Pluggit systems have their reputation. If you don’t want to accept an extra charge, at least make sure they are only installed in secondary rooms. In living rooms unbearable, as one reads.

My house doesn't have to radiate cemetery silence.... There is the perfect solution, it is always disproportionately expensive, because coaxing out the last 10% requires an enormous effort, and there is always the practically sufficient solution, not perfect, but good enough to live with. I'm not German enough for perfection. Mom was from Poland, we have the "Passt schon" gene....Karsten
