Yes, the ventilation requires a condensate drain and must be installed within the heated building envelope... otherwise, you will have to deal with condensate in the pipes and I think you would rather avoid that...

Of course, you could completely insulate the attic... but installation in the utility room is definitely the more economical alternative...

Hello Martina & Heiko,

And what is the construction measure including the property supposed to cost?

If you are out of the house all day, not a good idea.

Unlike the user "Mycraft," I am not an unconditional advocate of central systems, because both systems have advantages and disadvantages and a decentralized system is definitely better than no ventilation; as always, it depends on the circumstances. The decentralized system is also cheaper, so there's still some budget left for a special request or two ;)

Rhenish greetings

Hello Mycraft,

Thank you for the tip about the utility room. The utility room is only 1.40m x 3.50m. Nothing else fits in there except the washing machine and the dryer. Because the underfloor heating stuff still needs to go there.
The attic is completely insulated (insulation between the rafters) and only there could we install the central system. The system is certainly better off there, but of course also more expensive.

Hello building expert,

yes, a decentralized system is certainly better than none at all. The bungalow is easy to ventilate since everything is on one level. Certainly also easy to implement.

The bungalows range from 210-270TDE + special requests depending on plot size and type. Right by Olga Park in OB, basically the Olga residential park. So the project is easy to find.

What makes me skeptical is that after 2 years still so many are for sale, but it should be a bungalow after all. About half are roughly built or in the finishing stages.

I will deal with addresses of "ventilation installers" and request quotes for both options.

Best regards
Heiko

Hello Heiko,

I looked into it because I didn't want to believe the prices you mentioned. On the one hand, the plot price in OH is not that cheap after all; on the other hand, a bungalow of the size you want here in the Rhineland costs around EUR 170,000 as a KfW 70 efficiency house.

Since the provider primarily comes from commercial construction, a lot of concrete will probably be used; I couldn't find any construction description. I assume that you have read the BB and the contracts carefully; so you know what you are getting into.

Rhenish greetings

...I would like that, including the plot ;-), located on an easy route towards Essen .

Today, the development plan I had been waiting for finally arrived. Since I only wanted to sign next week, we can now still get out of it. We will not buy a bungalow there!

Now my nickname is even programmatic and my wife sadly says, "...we don't have a home anymore."

One positive thing is definitely that our apartment is sold and we can stay there until September 30 if necessary. Since the kitchen was sold with it, we might also not have that many furniture items to store temporarily if nothing new has been found yet.

At least I was able to gain some half-knowledge here...

Can you explain that in more detail? What does the development plan have to do with your purchasing decision??
