My wife initially also wanted ALL the windows in our bungalow to be floor-to-ceiling. In the bathroom, kitchen (semi-open, north side), and bedrooms for sleeping and children, we now have classic 90 cm parapet height, but 1.80 m wide, and in the living area two times 5 m wide floor-to-ceiling window fronts each with nearly 2 m double wing doors and once 2 m wide with a 1 m door in the middle.
That is so awesome! So bright and friendly and the living area virtually extends into the garden – and no one can look in!
In the bedrooms I am also happy without the floor-to-ceiling windows. You don’t necessarily have to be able to go outside there and you have some space for desks, dressers, etc.
