I think the type of window also has something to do with the feeling of the room. Floor-to-ceiling windows convey spaciousness and bring the outside into the house. Parapet windows keep the outside where it belongs - exaggerated: the cave as protection. Now there are certainly situations where I don’t want the outside inside the house at all - for example, if the neighbor has built his garage 3 m in front of the window, or if the main road runs in front of the house; but just as there are situations on the upper floor where floor-to-ceiling windows are appropriate, e.g. in the bedroom, if you have a view of fields.
