The 10 meter width is not the problem. Many build the standard villa 10 x 10, and that without a basement. Problems have only occurred so far when a very cunning person wants to fit everything into 9.50 x 9.50. So with an office and without a basement. Building more area (being able to build more) is not a free pass to be able to fall back on the standard floor plan. Why are you resisting an expert?

11ant would have to think about it a bit longer in this case, but that’s not the problem: since even internal forum links are now breaking here (at least when they contain umlauts; I haven’t figured out the exact pattern yet), this forum unfortunately has to forego my service to the usual extent. If one can’t manage the basics of user-friendliness, a picture catalog, chat, or other fancy stuff isn’t really enjoyable. I use the same name everywhere on the relevant network – just a heads-up, in case I soon follow Katja.

I see your problem in the symmetrical facade design. I actually find that rather boring anyway . I revised the ground floor layout: staircase slightly bigger (sorry, it was 200 cm in length), entrance a bit to the left to be able to move the living room door. This way, the sofa still fits in the corner and the TV opposite. To the southwest, you then have a view outside and additionally into the room. I would find it cozier that way. Windows were just placed to see what would be possible. By the way, we also have the neighbor's garage 3.30 m away to the south and still a 3 m window there. We designed the narrow strip with a seating area, some plants, decorations, and pictures on the garage wall, and I really find the view quite nice. I would really never want to give up the big window there.

Here is a suggestion for the upper floor as well. The children get better-shaped rooms facing the west garden. Significantly more closet space in the bedroom; however, the extra toilet was removed. But for that, you can also go downstairs?

I believe that won't be well received. I don’t see the west children's room here, and the office MUST face the garden side.... for whatever reason. The inquiry was not answered.

Oh, I overlooked or forgot about the office facing the garden side. Why is that, dear OP?
