Hello dear ones,

the latest plans just arrived, this time with the requested U-staircase. What do you think? I'm not completely convinced yet, but I'll get to a further analysis later today and look forward to your feedback and suggestions for improvement.

Best regards,

Kazazi

Just briefly:

You now have nice large rooms upstairs, but storage rooms are still missing.
If you collect jackets and shoes in the hallway and under the stairs, there is still only the utility room left, which is much too small including technical gadgets.

Possibly check if the upper floor can be designed differently so that another storage room can fit there.
Possibly near rooms 2 and 3, where room 2 has its niche.

The fireplace through the cabinet in room 3 is funny.
By the way, with this staircase, the chimney can be nicely integrated into the corner of the stairs.

I stand by it: With 5 people and so few storage rooms, you need a U-shaped kitchen so you can store things there.
Disadvantage: More kitchen furniture costs more money, obviously.

I find the U-shaped staircase a better solution. The rooms are all nicely large and spacious! What kind of heating do you have? In this case, plan it in the attic, then the utility room is also sufficient, in my opinion. The heating system is actually a bit small. And I would also plan the kitchen in a U-shape. However, the window wouldn’t have to be floor-to-ceiling but at countertop height.

Just by the way... did you also look at the exterior view of the house? I hope the arrangement of the windows/doors doesn’t end up looking strange. It seems to me that the exterior view of the houses is increasingly being forgotten during planning.
