The double casement window is only planned in the bathroom above the toilet. The south roof will be completely covered with photovoltaic modules, so no double casement window. The storage room is small but should be sufficient to store a 40 cm shelf for cleaning supplies, a laundry basket, and a vacuum cleaner.

Only the guest room on the west side, where the carport is, still worries me a bit. The next few weeks will go into detailed planning.

Hello everyone,

attached are the current plans for the building application.

Unfortunately, the window in the bathroom had to be made smaller, and there is now a large shaft for ventilation, heating, electricity, etc. in the pantry.
Should I have the shaft relocated to the utility/technical room?

Do you have any other suggestions for improvement?

Thank you very much in advance!

Rather change the format of the window, crosswise like the one in the kitchen, and question whether a bathroom window really needs a roller shutter. Where does this large shaft suddenly come from—do you have a turnkey general contractor with many subcontractors and little detailed planning who wants to create a lot of room for improvisation? Why is the shaft masonry all around? In my opinion, no, it should not be relocated. What do red and green symbolize in the plans?

I find it all quite nice, beautiful clear rooms. But I do not like the open-plan space at all. The kitchen takes away space from the living room corner: the dining table also leans into the chill area, not just when viewed from the entrance. I would steal at least 60cm from the kitchen, move everything to the right according to the plan, and thus give the living room at least 60 cm more space for the sofa. Currently, about 2.40m for a sofa is quite uncomfortable.

I correct to a whole meter at least. The dining table should align with the window and door. A large kitchen is nice, but it should fit harmoniously. The space is there too. The bedroom can give some space towards the storage room, the utility room some towards the wardrobe.

1. If I copy the wide window from the kitchen into the bathroom, then I’d have a window in the shower!? :D Or what do you mean? Roller shutters can be omitted in the bathroom and will then be deducted monetarily.
2. Respected regional GC with over 50 employees of own trades (70%) and few subs (30%).
3. The shaft is needed for the controlled residential ventilation and the size will be adjusted in the construction planning. Whether it has to be masonry I will question tomorrow. Thanks for that.
4. Which view do you mean with red and green? Terrain height, slab? The garage is, for example, marked in green.
