Oh, what should one do in a German house with an American room :-)

You're addressing me, right?
Homebyme... online and free. Self-explanatory.
And the best part: 3D animations are not distorted by users' incorrect settings ;)

You always need a wardrobe. Later on, you can put a fold-down bed for the grandkids in there or a seating nook, or a work desk. Or the spinning bike.
You’re already inflexible with the sloped roof option, which, by the way, I don't find bad at all. A built-in wardrobe doesn’t take up space, and thus the room immediately feels more spacious. It offers itself here on the silver platter, you can even create one yourself.

Thank you for the tip. I have now registered there and also immediately purchased a 3D design (without furnishing) for one of our floors. If it looks good or I can manage it, I will also order for the second floor. :) If I can adjust the offered furnishings to our measurements (we are taking most of the furniture with us), that would be great. I am looking forward to it.

??? You can do that yourself!!! That’s what the program is for. And what does managing mean? You manage if you train yourself

I agree with you. However, I have already tried to "translate" the architect's plan into SweetHome, which, despite days of annoying efforts, I did not manage 100% well, or rather, I am curious whether the plan can be translated 1 to 1 by professionals and how it would then look. It was also very affordable. Regarding coping, I mean whether HomeByMe offers some functions that I missed in SweetHome. Since the number of free projects in HomeByMe is limited, I did not want to exhaust the limit with my amateurish attempts.

Addendum: If I understood correctly, each floor is considered a separate project in HomeByMe.
